Welcome to the Archivist Blog

David Dutkowski Archives, Music

Welcome to the Archivists Blog. This is where I will let everyone know about the cool happenings within the Ray Manzarek Archives and discuss some of the new projects that we are working on.

One of the first projects we are working on is the release of two pieces Ray was working on with his son Pablo called “Waves of Grass” and “Lotus Pond”. These projects consist of high-definition video Ray shot himself along with classical piano accompaniment. Initially envisioned as audio-visual pieces, these hour long pieces will first be released as audio, then hopefully later with the visual elements as Ray envisioned.

As far as Ray’s archives go, we are still in the process of cataloging everything. As we make discoveries, we will be adding content to the website, plus sharing everything on Ray’s official Facebook page.

We need your help!
I would also like to ask everyone who is reading this, if you have anything you think the Ray Manzarek Archives would be interested in, please contact us! Anything from photos and recordings to memorabilia and personal stories you might have. Doors items or items relating to Ray’s solo career. Anything really. We would love to hear from you! It is my goal to document everything and save as much of the history as I can, plus release and/or share everything with the fans. The longer these items sit in a drawer, attic, basement or garage, the more likely they are to be lost forever.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment on this post or send me a message through the “Contact Us” page.

I look forward to hearing from all of you.
